Artists from across Texas will descend to the Columbus area on March 23 to participate in Paint Texas 2022! These painters have expertise in plein air painting or, more conventionally, outdoor painting.

Look for WATCH ME PAINT! signs around the county.  Paint Texas! 2022 can be described as a “pop-up art performance” – many artists will paint three paintings a day finding a new location for each one. From the historic homes and courthouse to the majestic live oaks, Colorado County offers a wide range of appealing subject material for en plein air artists.

Artists will be required to submit their work for judging by 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 26 at the Live Oak Art Center.  At 5:30 pm, an awards ceremony will be held in the gallery. The public is invited to attend and admission is free. The recently completed artwork will be on sale and on display until April 23.
