THE LIVE OAK ART CENTER 2020 JURIED ART EXHIBITION IS A JURIED COMPETITION THAT OFFERS HIGH PUBLIC VISIBILITY IN CENTRAL TEXAS AND A CHANCE TO SHARE IN $1000 IN CASH AWARDS

AWARDS & ELIGIBILITY

The cash awards will be as follows: $600 First Place, $300 Second Place, $100 Third Place chosen by the juror. All entries must be original works by artist residing within 250 miles of Columbus, done without supervision and completed in the last 2 years. All entries must be suitable for public setting.


EXHIBITION AGREEMENT, REPRODUCTION & SALES 
The juror reserves the right to exclude any entry deemed too fragile for display, too cumbersome to handle, or not accurately represented by slide/image. Permission to reproduce artwork for publicity is considered granted unless otherwise stated in writing by the artist. Sales from the exhibition will be encouraged, unless otherwise specified by the artist. Checks for sales will be made out to the artist. LOAC is a non-profit organization and requests 30% of the sales price be made as a tax deductible donation. Final decision for inclusion in the LOAC Annual Juried Exhibition will be made by the juror. Submission of entries constitutes agreement to the considerations set forth above.

MEDIA

Entries may be any medium, including painting, photography, sculpture, clay and works on paper. All works of art must be no larger than 72 " x 72 " and if chosen must be completed and ready to hang. Must hang by a wire. No V- shaped small hangers. Sculpture must be no larger than 3' x 3' at base and no more than 10' high. Please do not submit works that hang from ceiling or by large bolts or weigh more than 100 pounds.

SHIPMENT, RETURN & LIABILITY    

Delivery instructions will accompany notification of acceptance. All art must be shipped in reusable containers and delivered by hand or commercial carrier. Artwork that is shipped must have prepaid return postage label included. The Live Oak Art Center will not be responsible for damage to, loss or deterioration of any work while in transit. Upon receipt LOAC will insure works while in the building until TBA.

SUBMISSION, FEE & DUE DATE   

Artist must submit digital images on a CD that is PC compatible or via email:liveoakartcenter@sbcglobal.net. We need to have high quality standard JPG images. The resolution of image should be 150 DPI minimum; 300 DPI maximum. Images need to be reasonable size (under 2 MB is good). Dimensions should be approximately 1920 pixels. Label each digital image with only the entry number that matches entry number on submitted form. CDs will not be returned unless requested. If you want CD returned enclose a large self addressed, envelope with pre paid shipping label enclosed if you would like the return of your CD. Additional detail photos may be provided.

A non- refundable fee of $35 is due with up to 3 entries postmarked by TBA.

Magnolia Days Festival Art Exhibit

May 18, 2019

At the Pocket Park Next to Columbus State Bank


This exhibit is open to all Colorado County Residents. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. 

Judging of artwork for inclusion in exhibit will be done by Live Oak Art Center (LOAC) Executive Director Shawn Roberts. 

Final judging on day of event will be done by all people in attendance and People's Choice Awards will be given in two divisions: Youth (ages 5-18) and Adult (ages 18+).


Artists may submit 3 artworks and must include one image (jpg) for each piece with up to 3 images per piece allowed to show details.

All pieces should be fit for public display.

Notification of inclusion will be made by May 13.

Selected artwork should be delivered to the LOAC May 15-17.
